Rhiannon Leppert

Capella University Master Level Intern

Hello! My name is Rhiannon Leppert. I am a graduate student in the Clinical Mental Health Counseling program at Capella University and I consider it a privilege to do this work.

I hold an A.A.S. in Administration of Justice and a B.S. in Forensic Psychology. I began working for Aging & Long-Term Care of Eastern WA in 2010 and continue to work full-time as a Contracts Monitor. I have always felt at home working with the elderly and welcome the opportunity to serve all ages of clients.

I am the mother of 5 children, ranging from teenager to toddler. Motherhood offers me a unique perspective of just how different we all are, even within the same family. Every day is an adventure.

My journey to becoming a counselor has been a winding, lifelong path. Sometimes painful, but always valuable, life experiences have molded me into an empathetic, understanding, caring advocate.

To me, counseling is the privilege of walking beside people in their journey to wellness, whatever that may look like to you. My theoretical approach is grounded in Humanistic theories, such as Person-Centered, Gestalt, and Existential. Building a trusting relationship with my clients is key to the therapeutic process. I believe each person has their own strengths, positive attributes, and wisdom, and we will draw from these during our time together. My commitment to you is to remain judgement-free and help you unravel life’s messy situations. I will sit with you in your hard moments and rejoice with you in your successes.

It is an honor to serve at Life’s Learning, and I look forward to working with you.
